6 projects of Ukrainian women made it to the finals of the global event for women entrepreneurs

At once, 6 entrepreneurs from Ukraine will take part in WiSE24 — a global startup event for women.

It:

  • Darya Kichuk, co-founder and CEO of Effa, ecological toothbrushes

During 2019−2020, the main goal of Daria's team was to generate sales for the rapid development of the startup. As a result, Effa signed a contract with one of the largest Korean hotel distributors to supply 2.5 million toothbrushes to Lotte Hotel. And the second contract for the supply of 60,000 Effa units to the California offices of Netflix.

  • Margarita Rimek, co-founder and CEO of PIX, animated backpacks

Маргарита з партнерами створили нову категорію продуктів — інтерактивні аксесуари. У 2019 році, на другий рік роботи вони продали понад 10 тис одиниць у всьому світі та отримали понад %%EDITORCONTENT%%nbsp;1 млн доходу. PIX також збільшили команду з 3 співзасновників до 13 штатних працівників. Наразі команда працює над новими продуктами, які будуть випущені в 2020 році.

За результатами конкурсу Michelin Movin’On Startup Challenge 2020, Go To-U увійшла до ТОП-10 компаній, що впроваджують рішення у галузі сталої мобільності. Раніше у Лондоні, журі конкурсу MOVE2020 Start-Me-Up обрало Go To-U найкращим стартапом року. Go To-U підтримує Techstars (акселераційна програма Smart Mobility ’20).   • Anastasia Romanova, co-founder and CEO of SEMCS by Mosquito Control, a system for cleaning open areas from mosquitoes

In October 2019, Anastasia's startup was among the six winners chosen to represent Ukraine at CES 2020 in Las Vegas. That same month, SEMCS was selected by EO Business Incubators for a 4-month mentor-led program. So, at the same time, the team was involved in two intensive activities - preparing for CES and visiting the incubator every day, along with performing normal tasks as a company. According to the annual market review presented by UVCA, Mosquito Control is among the TOP-6 best hardware startups. Mosquito Control enters new markets in partnership with companies from the USA, India, Singapore, Jamaica, Pakistan, with which the team started cooperation during participation in CES 2020, where more than 200 contacts with distributors, customers and companies were established.

  • Olena Hlivna, Daria Sedykh, co-founders of Sport. Vision, a system of analytical AI reports for athletes and coaches

To the unique algorithm based on artificial intelligence, the team added a medical algorithm. All this works in real time and helps to improve sports results. The girls have attracted the first client and are working on two more deals. The team has already found a partner in the sports technology market. This company already has a customer base and reputation, and can provide the startup with tracker data for further processing and analytics. Olena Hlivna and Daria Sedykh were speakers at the online conference with participants from Germany Data Natives.

  • Lisa Voronkova, CTO of ComeBack Mobility, smart insoles for gait recovery

Lisa's team has attracted Pre-seed Round investment. And also, during surveys of orthopedic doctors from the USA, they discovered an actual and not yet solved problem, created an MVP and received positive feedback from more than 600 potential users. The startup is currently conducting clinical trials.

WiSE24 will continue for 24 hours and will take place from June 18 to 19. In general, pitches will be presented by 50 startups from 10 regions of the world (USA, Asia, Brazil, Ukraine, etc.). WiSE24 will gather more than a thousand global investors, politicians and business leaders. Speakers include LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and Taiwan's Minister of Digital Technology, Audrey Tang. The event is organized by Women's Startup Lab — an accelerator from Silicon Valley. Broadcast live on the website www.womenstartuplab.com/wise24.

The Ukrainian hub was created for training and networking of Ukrainian entrepreneurs with international communities, on the initiative of the Ukrainian American Coordinating Council (UACC). The hub team will facilitate the establishment of connections with leading global organizations such as TechStars, Startupbootcamp, 500 Startups, Plug'n'Play, as well as venture capital and private funds in the US and Europe. .

Partnership with Women's Startup Lab became the team's first major project:

The team also plans to launch a training program for startups at the initial stage (pre-seed and seed stage) together with one of the leading accelerators in the USA.
